Drainfield and Leach Field Installation
Drainfield and Leach Field Installation in Ocala
The drainfield is where treated effluent leaves the tank and soaks safely back into the soil, and it is the part of the system most likely to fail when it is undersized or clogged. Protectingcreation builds gravel trench and plastic chamber (gravelless) absorption fields sized directly from your perc rate, so effluent disperses without surfacing or backing up into the house.
Why Sizing Is Everything
- The soil sets the size. A slow perc rate near a clay pocket needs more field than fast-draining sand off SW 27th Avenue. We measure it rather than estimate it.
- Even flow protects the field. A level distribution box splits effluent across every lateral, so no single trench takes the whole load and floods.
- Separation keeps it legal. Marion County requires vertical separation to the seasonal high water table, which drives whether a conventional field or a mound is the right call.
Our Process
We confirm the perc rate, lay out the trenches or chamber runs to the design, and set washed gravel or leaching chambers over a level base with geotextile fabric to keep soil out of the system. We tie the field to the tank through a distribution box, then backfill and grade so the yard drains away from the field. If an old field has failed in Silver Springs Shores, we can locate it, evaluate the cause, and replace it.
